Adolescents living with Type 1 Diabetes are nearly twice as likely to experience mental health challenges compared to peers without diabetes (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2024).

Children, families, and healthcare providers are linked through collaborative care. Signed Releases of Information allow coordination with outpatient clinics, endocrinologists, and psychiatrists to support both mental and physical health. Talk therapy services are provided, with ongoing collaboration encouraged.

Build Connections

Guidance is provided to parents and caregivers to support their child’s mental health. Resources and strategies to help families build an understanding and a supportive home environment. Therapy is also available for siblings of children living with Type 1 Diabetes.

Assist Families

Virtual therapy addresses the unique mental health needs of children and teens experiencing mental health challenges, including Diabetes Distress.
Adolescents learn to identify and regulate emotions, manage stress, and build confidence to face life’s challenges.

What We Do

Warrior Mental Health offers flexible options to make therapy accessible for children and teens. Families using insurance or EAP benefits can book sessions through Alma or Grow Therapy, with coverage depending on the individual plan. At this time, there is no co-pay per session.
